Hi, I’m Teri and I’m a weight loss dietitian (nutritionist). I help people who live in Alberta to lose weight and improve their health and wellness.
I cover general healthy eating, intermittent fasting, and diets such as low carb, ketogenic (keto), low salt (e.g. DASH), and Mediterranean diets.
I can do various tasks with you or sometimes by myself during sessions, such as:
• Create meal plans, basic exercise plans, and resources
• Check if you’re meeting your nutrition needs
• Teach you about food (e.g. grocery shopping and cooking)
• Help to prevent or treat medical conditions (e.g. gut issues) and symptoms (e.g. fatigue)
• Adjust things based on your needs and wants
I can do meal planning using quick methods (e.g. putting general foods/recipes in a schedule or listing meal/snack ideas) or longer methods (e.g. putting specific foods/recipes and amounts in a schedule or using a Cronometer app that tracks up to 84 nutrients/compounds for individual clients).
I’m certified in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), so I can help you to understand thoughts (e.g. negative self-talk), feelings (e.g. guilt), and behaviors/habits and change them as needed.
I can help you to make changes at a pace that works well for you.
I can typically help additional people (e.g. your family).
Dietitian services are income tax deductible and I can do direct billing to most insurance companies. For certain insurance plans, I could give you a promo code to reduce the cost of a session when you book it.
I do not cover type 1 diabetes, insulin injections, and tube or IV feeding. Also, ignore the word “specialties” and “package” on this page. The topics below are examples of topics that I can discuss.
